| July 7 - 11 Guts and Glory: Revolutionary War Week | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Now you can experience the life of a soldier in camp! Try your hand cooking rations over a campfire, learn about muskets and weaponry used during the war. Line up in "rank and file" to march with a Revolutionary War soldier. Pitch tents and set up camp the very same way the soldiers would have or relax and learn about what they would have done to past the time. | Ahoy Maties! The Hallocks have discovered a pirate in their midst! In honor of this finding, Haollckville will be offering a week of Pirate Camp this summer. The week will kick off with an Opening Day invasion brought to us by Long Island's own Maritime Pirates. Come join in the fun and adventure, learn about shipboard activities like navigation, rope making and nautical knots tying, learn sea chanteys and pirate terminology, engage in nautical pastimes such as scrimshaw carving, making "ship biscuits" and hardtack but most of all join us for week full of history sprinkled with nautical nonsense! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Explore the ways early Americans and pioneers used and lived with nature. Learn all about weather signs, animal tracks, use of native plants and vegetables as inks and dyes. Try hands on projects like building weather vanes, and sundials and how they would have helped in daily life. | Get in on the action with a week of fun and games! Head outside for some sack races, old-fashioned baseball and scavenger hunts. Try walking on stilts or play with hoops as they roll across the lawn. Learn historical pastimes like blind man's bluff, red rover, hopscotch, checkers and marbles.
